Wooden Sculptures by Artist Jeff Uitto

Good morning & happy Monday, loves!

Vincent Van Gogh once said, "If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere."
I believe this to be true, because I always say that the Earth is full of treasures. From the flowers blooming in the spring to the white blanket of snow over the mountains. Even Nature's leftovers can become a thing of beauty.

A beautiful and creative mind has seen art where other people might have seen "just pieces of driftwood washed up on the shore" He gives it life.

Jeff Uitto is an artist from Tokeland, Washington and he creates some of the most awe-inspiring wooden sculptures. This is due to the type of wood he uses. He is able to create the illusion that these sculptures are nature's doing and not man-made, by using twisted forms of driftwood. His woodworking passion even led him into creating his own tools

"Each piece is found and rescued from the shores of Tokeland, the banks of Smith Creek, or the valleys between the Willapa Hills. In due time the varied sticks, slabs, and roots are cured and then found a fitting home." -Knock on Wood, artist Jeff Uitto

The artists does everything, from sculptures and furniture to much larger projects. Scroll down to see some of his marvelous works.

While making the sculptures can take years, hunting for the right pieces of driftwood can take months if not years, as well.

His artwork has become so popular that clients have asked him to travel and create pieces on site.

....even archways!!!!
